Class Trailer Review Day of The Dead (1985) 1

Class trailer review!
Day of the Dead (1985)
Gory horror
My mark (After viewing) 3/10
What happened in the trailer? There are some people in the cinema watching Day of the Dead (1985) but in the audience there is a zombie eating popcorn. Whilst on screen a small group of military officers and scientists dwell in an underground bunker as the world above is overrun by zombies. With a voice-over who is over the top and cheesy talking about the film.
Which positive, clever or interesting aspects do you think you could include in your own trailer? What generic features are fulfilled well? The idea of the plot but doesn’t give the storyline away! Zombies in the movie are 400,000 to 1 human is the plot. One good zombie effect in the whole trailer of Bub who is the representation of a slow moving monster.
Which aspects of the trailer did you think were unsuccessful, and would put you off its target audience? How is it disappointing? The zombie in the cinema eating popcorn and who isn’t in the film makes it seem like a comedy horror which is misspelling the film completely. Not flogging enough of the characters in the trailer and the voice-over is over the top and cheesy plus there’s no gore in the trailer which isn’t right with the film having a lot of gory elements in.
What was the trailer’s average score in class? Why did it receive that mark? The class average was three and a half out of ten, mostly because it doesn’t sell what the movies about for example not showing any gore/body horror in the trailer.
