Bates Motel
The scene where Marion’s car pulls up to the Bates Hotel late at night already connotes something evil is about to happen with the rain falling through the night sky which uses pathetic fallacy of mystery and sadness. The house in the top-left of the shot is higher up on a hill emphasising the power it has over the small appearance of Marion being small and fragile.
